Mixed signals. . .

Yesterday Ethan and I scooted around town trying to accomplish a million errands in a short amount of time. Ethan was a great shopper! At one of our stops I needed to use the restroom. Ethan is beginning to complain about going into the "girls restroom" so he tries to read the signs on the bathroom. He walks over to the men's sign and says, "this says it is for dads and boys to go the bathroom." He walks over to where I am standing and looks at the sign and states, "this is for moms to go the bathroom and also for moms to sit down and spank their kids." I looked at the sign and saw the wheelchair and then realized what he was seeing - he assumed the woman in the chair is sitting down to spank her child. (Can you tell we have used the restroom for various reasons?) As we where walking in the door to the restroom, Ethan hesitated and asked, "um, I've been a good boy today, right?" I laughed, "yes Ethan, you've been a very good boy today." :)
