Happy, Happy Birthday to our Mel, our creative genius. Ahhhhh the memories. The other night we were just reliving the meeting between Margot (Mel's german shepherd for those who don't know) and Duma (our cat) and how Ben got in between and had to go to the ER! And that was your first night at our house!! :) Oh sooooo funny (well, not for Ben). I think Ben's feelings are still hurt because he still mentions the fact that I was more concerned about Duma than his bleeding injuries. (Whoops!) Anyway, we love you Mel and think of you all the time. Oh, and I can't wait until you are famous for your art - because then I can brag that you are our sister and Braden and Ethan's Aunt (not trying to be selfish or anything)! Happy Birthday Miss Mel! :)

Oh carrie carrie carrie thank you so much for this...had i known you had posted this on my birthday and had read it I would have certainly had higher spirits that day. My birthdays seem to be becoming a sad state of affairs as they get worse and worse as the years progress. Thank you. You have no idea...thank you.
