Being far from family brings challenges when they face something difficult. Although it impacts our daily lives in our thoughts and emotions, we can’t tangibly reach out by cooking, cleaning, taking care of, and just being with those you love. At times a sense of even jealousy invades as you want to be the one caring for Will and Olivia, sitting up nights with Aaron and Holly and kissing on Kate. Ohhhh, by no means is this to imply our complete gratefulness for those who have selflessly and loving stood beside the Mcraes. Are hearts are overwhelmed by the love that they have been shown by friends and strangers alike. But when you love someone . . . . . you want to be there. The boys have found it difficult to not be able to see Kate, Will and Olivia. So as the snow days are mounting up, we decided to take advantage and make some window clings for Kate’s hospital window. Life altering? By no means. But it gives the boys a sense of doing something. And that is what I am trying to teach myself. We often wait for the perfect idea, the perfect gift, the perfect card in order to do something for someone. And I am finding more and more that the perfect idea is just doing something. Anything. Just let someone know you care. And most often that is the most perfect way to love.
