Mom's Day . . .

My anticipation of the day wasn't high to be honest. Ben had to be out of town which was disappointing, but I was looking forward to a day with the three boys. The day started with the little early bird chirping in the next room (Nolan) who needed a quick munchie, but he went back to bed soon after. I climbed back in bed too. . . Mother's Day, remember?!? Anyway, about 6am I started hearing some quiet commotion going on in the kitchen. No one was screaming, so I decided to turn over my pillow (I like the cold side - - anyone else do this?) and catch those zzzzs before the little birdie and the rest of the flock were begging for worms (staying with the bird theme here) or, breakfast. About 30 minutes later, three bedhead boys were standing at my bedside with a tray full of goodies and a sweet "Happy Mother's Day". Be still my heart. Toast with jelly, hot tea, and gifts that they had bought at T.J. Maxx with their OWN money. The card was a christmas card, but Braden thoughtfully explained they had run out of money and had to settle for something they could find in the card box. Did I mention that this was the BEST Mother's Day . . . . ever.
