Kate, our sweet, energetic, beautiful niece (my sister Holly’s daughter) went into her pediatrician today to check out a tremor in her hand. Long story short – they have found a tumor in her brain. My parents are flying out to Phoenix in the morning. Here are Holly’s words: “Monday, June 29th began like any other summer day and ended like no other. Kate, our 5yr.old daughter, was taken to the doctor for tremors in her right hand. We proceeded to Phoenix Children’s Hospital for a stat CT scan of her head. “We sat outside at my parents and cried. What can we say? Do? We are praying. And hurting. And praying. At 5:30pm, I, Holly, was taken into a room alone and was told that Kate had a massive tumor and basil ganglia portion of her brain. I called her dad and our journey began. One we never would have chose to be a part of, bur was chosen for us, and our sweet Kate. She is now in Phoenix Children’s ICU awaiting tests to determine what it is and how far it has progressed. Please, our dear daughter needs your prayers, as do we, Holly, Aaron Olivia and Will.”
